SHOULDERS

The latissimus dorsi (lats for short) is a large, flat muscle covering the width of the middle and lower back. It connects the bone of the upper arm to the spine and the hip.

ROLE:  The lats play an extremely important role in stabilizing the neck, shoulder, the back, and the hips as well as aiding in good posture. Strengthening and stretching your lats is essential in building upper-body strength, improving range of motion, and preventing injury.
